WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example.

When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GET BAPTIZED

A SHORT VIDEO

Because we believe that baptism is an opportunity to go public with your faith, every one who gets baptized is expected to setup a time with the church to come film a short video of themselves explaining why they are becoming baptized and what Jesus has personally done in their life. This isn’t meant to be scary at all, most videos last only a couple of minutes, and Jesus gets all the glory! This video will be shown directly before your baptism on Baptism Sunday at church.

FAMILY & FRIENDS

Water baptism is a time of celebration and public declaration of new life in Christ. You are highly encouraged to bring your friends and family with you so you can celebrate together.

WE PROVIDE EVERYTHING

Don’t worry about what to bring for water baptism. Our team is prepared with everything you need including a towel, and Baptism t-shirt you get to keep.
